Frequently Asked Questions

The first session is a Clinical Intake focusing on what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. During the first few sessions/initial phase, you and your therapist will discuss and develop a treatment plan  for the therapeutic process. Mental health therapy can be short-term or an ongoing process of thorough personal healing and growth. 

An initial session is generally 50 to 55 minutes. Individual sessions following are also 50 to 55 minutes, however, longer sessions are available at additional fee. Your therapy goals will determine what your therapist recommends for session length and frequency.

It is the client’s responsibility to provide any payment at the time of service. Bass Assertive Solutions & Support, LLC accepts cash, all major credit cards, Health Savings Account (HSA) card, or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card, Paypal, and CashApp.

We are currently in-network and accept the following insurances: BlueCross & Blue Shield, New Directions, American Behavioral, Beacon Health, Optum, Value Options, and some Medicare plans. 

If you have a copay it is due at the time of service. We can provide you with an invoice form to send in to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. You are responsible for the fees at the time of our appointment; however, depending on your insurance plan, a certain percentage of that may be reimbursed to you by your insurance provider. 

We encourage you to contact your provider prior to the initial session to inquire about your “out-of-network” benefits to be clear of their policy for reimbursement. 

We offer a free 10 to 15 minute phone consultation to discuss your challenges and needs as well as what you are looking for in a therapist.  

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please contact us as soon as possible as that session slot could be utilized by another client. Please note that an advance cancellation or rescheduling of appointment is required 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment in order to avoid being billed for the session. If you do not cancel or reschedule an appointment within the 24-hour time frame, or no-show for an appointment, you will be charged your full session fee.
